RAC 2012 – The Roman Archaeology Conference (10)
Under the aegis of the Roman Society, RAC 2012 was hosted by the Römisch-Germanische Kommission des Deutschen Archäologischen Instituts in Frankfurt am Main, Germany from Thursday 29 March to Sunday 1 April 2012
The Roman Archaeology Conference is the premier Roman archaeological conference in the United Kingdom.
It is a biennial event – RAC 2010 was held in Oxford – that brings together interested parties from all sectors to present and discuss the latest archaeological discoveries from the Roman world and beyond. In 2012 the event was held for the first time in continental Europe.
The Radio-Past Team participated in several sessions of this conference, approaching the following themes:
– Ammaia: An integrated geophysical survey of a Roman town and its suburbium in Lusitania
– The Portus project
– The contribution of integrated survey methodologies to understanding Roman suburbia: examples from Italia and Lusitania
