Copenhagen Conference, September 2011

23rd Annual EAIE Conference

Cooperate, Innovate, Participate

aeia_logo«International higher education professionals from around the world met in Copenhagen from 13–16 September 2011 at the 23rd Annual EAIE Conference; the largest event of its kind in Europe. Hands-on workshops and cutting-edge sessions highlighted the latest trends in the field of international education.»

«Partnerships between communities and the academic world are essential to foster innovative processes. Universities, as core suppliers and developers, are key players in shaping the future. Students must be encouraged not only to learn and participate but also to be creative during the process by thinking independently and acting alternatively. Diversity creates knowledge! »

The Radio-Past Project, which encompasses four European academic institutions and three private enterprises, is representative for the cross border cooperation and fusion of synergies that were in focus at this conference. Thus the Project was invited to participate in session 7.07, entitled Mobility of researchers in Europe: an endeavour for all (link to: http://www.eaie.org/copenhagen/programme/sessions2.asp?ID=2847&OrderID=92&YearNbr=2011&TypeID=1&StatusID=7), which will take place on September 15, between 16.00 and 17.30.

The Radio-Past Project has been selected as representative of the European Commission policies for promotion of research and support to carrier development in sciences and research. Marie Curie/People actions are in fact devoted to structuring
• excellent research training,
• worldwide professional mobility, and
• accredited career development.

The Project has been acknowledged as a “successful story”: thanks to the EU funding, the consortium has already achieved very valuable scientific results and has been able to offer to the researchers involved:
• interdisciplinary, inter-sectorial (public/private) experiences
• innovative research in an international multicultural environment
